New year, new goals right? It has been on my wishlist for some months to start posting again on LaylaRosita.com. I wanted to start sooner but I had a lot of technical issues here that I couldn’t fix myself and I just kept postponing them. Which, of course, didn’t make it any better. I am going to spare you an entire life update and I just want to start posting my fashion and lifestyle content here again. And I’ll start by sharing my festive looks of the holidays with you. Warning: there’s a lot of black and silver involved. I like to believe I am in my Renaissance era. Christmas Day was being celebrated at my parents’ house. I chose a simple and super comfortable little black dress as it was going to be a long sitting. It cannot be seen in the picture but the fabric has a very subtle glitter in it which made it perfect for the holidays. Shop this budget-friendly dress and the rest of the outfit here.
We had a fancy private chef dinner right after Christmas with lots of friends! I loved the black dress and silver jewelry combo so much that I wanted to repeat this vibe. Trust me, that silver rhinestone bag has worked overtime the past holidays. Shop similar and exact items here.
Usually, the office Christmas party is something I look forward to but this year I wasn’t feeling it. I even had doubts if I should go. So last minute I decided to go and wear my new full-length trousers from Massimo Dutti, paired with an old ZARA top and gold jewelry. It isn’t a specific Christmas or holiday outfit but I loved it so much I will surely wear it again soon. You can find exact and similar items here.
I cannot be the only one who has this love/hate relationship with NYE. My parents used to throw a huge party every year when I was a kid and I lived for that. Later when I was older we would go on vacation right after Christmas and as I became an adult myself I booked trips to foreign countries too on NYE. That isn’t something I can do every year and then I just go blank. I have no idea what to do on that night. Luckily more of my friends felt that way and we ended up celebrating a cozy night at home together with delicious food and playing games. I wore a black top and skirt paired with- what else is new – silver embroidery. I had treated myself to a new faux fur coat and my look for the night was done, you can find everything I am wearing here. Somewhere after midnight I changed into my sweats very fast. 😉
What did you wear over the holidays? Are you looking forward to the next season?
Bisous,
Layla
